Liberal Arts Program Emphasis, BIS

Degree Requirements

In addition to the requirements stated below, students must complete 34-35 hours of General Education, all requirements for a Bachelor of Integrated Studies degree, and any additional hours needed to reach the minimum 120 credit hours required for graduation. Some of the courses below may also fulfill general education or other degree requirements.  Please see your advisor for more information.

Students must complete the following core coursework by selecting two to three areas of emphasis (minimum of 30 hours total):

Two Areas of Emphasis program considerations:

  • Grade of “C” or better required for designated courses in the ISP/MDSP.
  • The first 30 hours of the ISP/MDSP may not be applied to the 84 hour “non-major” requirement.
  • Courses applied to the General Education distribution requirements may not also be utilized to meet ISP/ MDSP requirements.
