II. Student Records

The University Registrar's Office is charged with the responsibility of maintaining permanent academic records of each student who enrolls at Washburn University. This is an impossible task without the complete and prompt assistance of the faculty member. Furthermore, all persons concerned with the records of the student, including faculty, shall recognize the confidentiality of them. The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) prohibits the disclosure of information (other than "Directory Information") from academic records without consent of the student.
